I wish I could give this book more stars because it’s that amazing!! For being the length that Push is, it was a fast read & its fast burn. This is the first book I’ve read by Nyla K. and I loved it! The taboo aspect of it, if it’s not your usual trope, will probably have you going 😦 but it’s worth it! Give it a try if you haven’t read it! Hailey brings her boyfriend, Ryan, home for thanksgiving to meet her parents and over the course of the weekend Ryan enjoys a night with someone unexpected. Yes, he cheated on Hailey but things aren’t all bad. They get back to school and make the decision that they’re better off as friends. Granted she doesn’t find out until later about what happens but despite it, they do remain close friends. He focuses on the relationship with the other person and it goes from there. Push is full of steam, love and a heart break. Definitely a must read if you love those things in a book. Five stars plus!I can say, in all honesty, that this book is absolutely the best $4.59 I have ever spent.I simply do not have enough good things to say about this book.An angsty, marathon read, to be sure, but this book totally got, and held my attention from first sentence to last.This was, quite frankly, probably the best and most engrossing story I have read in a decade!Congratulations to this wonderful new (to me) author.I won't rehash the points of the story here because the description is quite enough, but I will say... this is a lengthy book.The plotting was absolutely excellent and the tale, brilliantly executed.This book is sex-heavy but I never, ever felt that it was too much or unnecessary.The author has used an abundance of (extremely well thought out) intimate encounters as a vehicle for character and story development, and has done it so well!For readers who tend to shy away from stories that contain cheating, please, please don't be put off by this aspect of the tale. It is all so beautifully incorporated into the telling of the story that you never experience that sense of betrayal that one tends to get in tales of infidelity.Really, people, do yourselves a favor and read this book!
